Begin your journey in 77-bit when you step off the train and into the tutorial where you will work with the shadow booker and learn to equip gear and dive into combat and world interaction.

Once you have opened the crate, picked up the gear, it's time to equip it and take on your first enemy, a Frozen Sentry. (Don't worry they won't bite)

you will then progress through the tutorial fighting a variety of melee and ranged enemies to free a prisoner.

you will soon after return to the train and head into the main game and city where you will be given a chance to choose your class before arriving.

The Sentinel is an all round melee tank. 

The Technomancer is a ranged attacker. 

The Hacker A close range DPS monster!

Your most memorable quest reward... Some very interest Tools Of The Trade.

As you progress and level up each class is offered a set of passive and active skills to choice from in each category you can choose one active and one passive.  Plan your build 77-Bit legends!

If you are having a difficult time, it may be time to upgrade that gear, that beginner weapon won't last you the whole game!

The vibrant world outside the city will keep you occupied for hours and the in game music will have you absolutely entranced from epic battles to the cool NPCs and questlines you will find.

We stumbled across the most epic piece of tech... A vintage Meme Vendor.  The entertaining bits of lore you will find throughout the game as you venture around is immense and will have you yearning for more!

FINAL THOUGHTS ON 77bit

This one's tough to compare because, while it pulls inspiration from great games, it truly stands on its own.  The cyberpunk vibe is undeniable, you feel it in the visuals, the music, the atmosphere. It’s immersive in a way most games try and fail to be.  

Gameplay-wise? It’s a wild mix:

Combat – Feels like a real-time action side-scroller but with an OG RuneScape look and MMO movement.

Questing – Think Path of Exile, deep lore, NPCs with real stories, optional details for those who want more.

Open-World Combat – Very World of Warcraft in how you can help strangers and still get your loot, no forced grouping.  

It’s got elements from some of the best games out there, yet it doesn’t feel like any one of them, it’s its own thing. And that’s rare.  

Overall? 

If I had to pin it down, I’d say it plays closest to Path of Exile, but with a true MMO backbone. And in just a few hours of playtesting, I had more fun than I’ve had with any AAA game in the last couple of years.  

Launch can’t come soon enough. If this were a paid game, I’d buy it instantly.
